PM82171: A SAVE/REFRESH OF (JSCD) CONTROL ELEMENTS RESULTS IN AGGRI10E HOURGLASS DYNAMIC REFRESH ERROR: REFRESH TIME LIMIT EXCEEDED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• 1.  Disable all CEs
  2. Do a Save and Activate so that all CEs are disabled.
  3. Once you get your message stating that the REFRESH completed
  successfully go back to your CE listing.
  4. Select 2 CEs, I picked these 2:

  5. Do a Save and Activate.
  
  The important part of the recreate is that one of both of the
  Control Elements has to be a Job Schedule CE.  No other combos
  results in this failure.
  
  
  You never see the Refresh completed message but after 10 minutes
  you see the following message and abend in the syslog...

  *                      infinite loop.  Then AGGLINK itself     *
  *                      gets an ABEND SD22 due to too long of a *
  *                      message it tries to send to the Control *
  *                      Center user doing the ACES activation.  *
