  • Tracing with the xscmd tool does not work for WebSphere
    eXtreme Scale Liberty profile.

Problem summary

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The trace output is not produced when   *
    *                      trace options are enabled for the       *
    *                      xscmd command utility.                  *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The trace output is not produced because the xscmd command
    utility is running in a Java SE environment while Liberty uses
    OSGi.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The problem was resolved by configuring the Liberty trace
    and logging in the Java SE environment.
