PM82052: UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS, AN EXPORTED PDF OUTPUT FAILS TO DRAW A LINE ACROSS THE TOP OF VARIABLE VALUE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In IBM SPSS Statistics 21, when exporting an output containing
  pivot tables, a line (used to separate variables) is not
  appearing when values from the previous variable is present.
  
  For example,
  Near the top of an exported PDF page, you have a variable called
  'Code 5B'. You see the variable 'Code 5B' does not have a line
  across the full width of the table because, just above 'Code 5B'
  are values for the previous variable 'Code 5A'.
  
  This occurs many times in the exported output and all instances
  show the previous variable's values present before the line is
  hidden.
  
  Lines separating variables should always be present. The fact
  that the previous variable's values being printed on two pages
  should not affect this output. This occurs on a custom template
  or using the default SPSS Statistics output template.
  

Local fix

• This has been reported to IBM SPSS Statistics development team
  for investigation. This issue will be addressed in the next Fix
