PM81339: Running Synchronize Mirror Properties for an encyclopedia leads to Rational System Architect freezing

Error description

• Attempts to run Synchronize Mirror Properties for an
  encyclopedia results in  IBM Rational System Architect freezing
  
  After importing custom definitions via CSV files, running Tools
  ? Synchronize Mirror Properties will cause System Architect to
  stop responding.

  When the synchronize stops on a particular process, SA
  appears to be partially active, but executing any menu item
  including File ? Exit cause the error tone to chime - as if
  there was a model dialog open that needed to be closed.
  
  Possibly what is happening is that there is some error being
  detected by the synchronization process, but for some reason
  the error dialog is not visible and cannot be dismissed. You
  have to use Task Manager to force quit SA.
  

Problem conclusion

• For some reason no search, grid report, or other log report
  windows would open in SA. A reinstallation of System
  Architect corrected that problem. Now synchronize mirrored
  properties fails with an unknown error as seen in a report
  dialog that is now displayed, which can be dismissed and SA
  seems to still be working properly.
  
  The failure in the report was caused by names in a LISTOF
  property with greater than 80 characters. If a property is a
  reference to another definition, and it has value greater
  than 80 characters, the property cannot be synchronized.
  Once this was fixed, the synchronize mirrors was successful.
  
  
  The client agreed to close this case.
