Error description
You are trying to display a list of programs in the CICS Explorer and then begin to filter the same view to display just a certain subset of programs. This produces the following error message and no data: CNX0595E: An unexpected failure occurred: org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0x0) was found in the value of attribute "api_response2_alt" and element is "resultsummary". Reviewing the trace shows the value for api_response2_alt contained garbage characters. It should have contained "NOT PROCESSED" because the api_response2 was a 1378. The reason it failed to correctly return NOT PROCESSED is because the cpsm_reason_table in DFHWURSF does not contain an entry for 1378 response. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVWJB

Note that the restarts do not * * need to occur at the same time. * **************************************************************** When CPSM API response and reason codes for a CICS Explorer request are returned to CMCI in the WUI server or SMSS system to which the CICS Explorer session is connected, module DFHWURSF converts the numeric codes to character format and returns them to CICS Explorer. DFHWURSF uses a local table to perform the conversion. This table is missing some reason codes. When one of these codes are processed by DFHWURSF, it converts the numeric code to invalid character data and returns that to CICS Explorer, which results in the CNX0595E error message.
Problem conclusion
DFHWURSF has been updated so that its reason code table contains all CPSM API reason codes. Additionally, DFHWURSF has been updated to recognize if a response or reason code returned to it is not in its local tables, and if so, it provides blanks for that character data to CICS Explorer.
