PM80848: SUMMARIZE IS APPLYING MISSING VALUES TREATMENT TO VARIABLES NOT INVOLVED IN THE SUMMARIZE COMMAND

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You run the SUMMARIZE command on a set of data and get a
  warning:
   All cases have been eliminated due to missing value treatment.
  
  You check the data and see that, though other variables in the
  dataset do have missing values, the variables and records of
  interest to you and relevant to your SUMMARIZE command are
  actually complete.
  
  To Workaround this problem you could:
  1) Use SPLIT FILES and LIST to obtain the same list of recordss
  that SUMMARIZE would have given.
  2) Use SORT and MATCH FILES to match the file against itself
  dropping the extraneous variables.  Then use SUMMARIZE on this
  subset of the original data.
