Error description

  • The plugin-key.kdb file does not regenerate when redefined
    webserver definition from IBM Web Administration for IBM i.

    The configureOs400WebServerDefinition is a wrapper that calls a
    configureWebserverDefinition.jacl script which creates a web
    server definition for a WAS profile.

    The removeOs400WebServerDefinition removes a web server
    definition by using $AdminTask deleteServer.

    Updated to  the was_home/bin/removeWebserverDefinition.jacl
    script by changing deleteServer to deleteWebServer.

Local fix

  • The user can manually update the
    was_home/bin/removeWebserverDefinition.jacl script and delete
    the corrupted entry from the security.xml file
    which will be similar to the following:

    <keyStores xmi:id="KeyStore_1358358254583" name="CMSKeyStore"
    password="{xor}CDo9Hgw=" provider="IBMCMSProvider"
    location="${CONFIG_ROOT}/cells/LP05UT18_zoght70/nodes/LP05UT18_z
    oght70/servers/JOE1/plugin-key.kdb" type="CMSKS"
    fileBased="true" createStashFileForCMS="true"
    description="CMSKeyStore for web server JOE1."
    managementScope="ManagementScope_1358357533921"/>

    * RECOMMENDATION:  None                                        *
    ****************************************************************
    The call to the removeOs400WebServerDefinition script does not
    remove the web server. This is caused by the
    removeWebserverDefinition.jacl script calling deleteServer
    instead of deleteWebServer.
