Error description
It appears method buildPathsFromPathQueryResult incorrectly processes the target WWNN field when the query is issued to a target volume. The result of the incorrect processing, is that the source WWNN is stored in the target WWNN field in the database. Later, when paths are being established, this incorrect source WWNN is used on the establish paths command. This results in the 0FA1 error, since the source and target WWNN are the same.
Local fix
Problem summary
The WWNN of the DS8000 source and target volumes were not correct (they were set to 0) when trying to create the PPRC paths to the DS8000s. Target WWNN selection is in error while issuing a start command while multiple paths exist to a single target LSS.
Problem conclusion
Prior to this fix, the create PPRC path command may work depending on which LSS the path command was issued to. This really depends on the order of the LSS's within the path mapping. In example, the first LSS within the path mapping will get the WWNN of the source box. If the path happens to be a loopback path (within the same box), then the "correct" WWNN will be returned. Otherwise the LSS's will geturn 0 for the WWNN. The code will now choose the correct WWNN.
