PM80705: CLASSIC EVENT PUBLISHER DOCUMENTATION CLARIFICATION ON MODIFYING ACTIVE PUBLICATIONS WITH XML MESSAGE FORMAT
Closed as documentation error.
In the Classic Data Event Publishing Guide and Reference (SC19-1121-01), Chapter 2. Configuring Event Publishiing > Creating and modifying publications > Activating, deactivating, and reinitializing publications, the doc indicates that if a publication is changed while it is active, the publication should be reinitialized. This should be updated to clarify two things: 1. If the publication is modified while active, it may automatically be reinitialized. This can be verified by checking the server log for a message indicating reinitialization. 2. Even after the publication is modified and reinitialized, the Correlation Service should be recycled in order for the publication change to take effect.
Additional information was required in Classic Event Publisher documentation that described modification of publications.
The following Technote provides the additional clarification needed: http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21650022
