PM80620: FM/IMS NOT RECOGNIZING THE GE KEYWORD IN A VIEWPOSN CALL

Error description

• When running FM/IMS IBB batch function, the GE keyword is not
  recognized in the VIEWPOSN call.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1. FM/IMS ignores the GE keyword when   *
  *                      it is specified on a VIEWPOSN call.     *
  *                                                              *
  *                      2. An undocumented extension to the     *
  *                      REPLIMS and ISRTIMS call syntax allows  *
  *                      you to specify multiple SET clauses in  *
  *                      the one call. However, FM/IMS does not  *
  *                      always correctly process the field      *
  *                      assignment statements within these      *
  *                      clauses when multiple SET clauses are   *
  *                      specified.                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
  ****************************************************************
  2. According to the REPLIMS and ISRTIMS call syntax diagrams in
  the FM/IMS User Guide and Reference, all the field assignment
  statements should be specified in the one SET clause. However,
  FM/IMS has always tolerated the specification of multiple SET
  clauses, so it should correctly process the field assignment
  statements when more than one SET clause is specified.
  

Problem conclusion

• FM/IMS has been modified to correct these problems.
