PM80486: APPLICATION SERVER MALFUNCTIONS AFTER UNINSTALL

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After uninstalling Worklight Server, the application server
  which was used for Worklight Server no longer starts correctly.
  

Local fix

• Remove the sections of server.xml that were added by the
  Worklight Server installer. They are delimited through comments
  that mention Worklight Server.

  After installing Worklight into a preinstalled application
  server
  and then uninstalling it, the server configuration (server.xml
  in
  the case of WebSphere Liberty) contains references to files and
  applications that the Worklight Server installer had added.
  

Problem conclusion

• The uninstallation now cleans up the server.xml.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fixpack 5.0.5.0.
