  • VIDSETUP results in members containing multiple lines with
only '/*'.  You are running VIDSETUP to provide customization
values for VSAM Transparency.  Members VIDB2BND, VIDCDEF,
VIDCDEF2, VIDDDEF, VIDGDMEX, VIDGDTAB, VIDIVPCO, and VIDIVPLI
contain multiple /* lines after customization.
Member VIDIVPJ1 looks like:
REPRO INFILE(INF) OUTFILE(OUTF) COUNT(1)
REPRO INFILE(INF) OUTFILE(OUTF) COUNT(1)

Local fix

  • The problem can be circumvented by supplying /* or //* for
the JOBCARD on the first panel of VIDSETUP

There is an error in the CICS VT VIDSETUP customization
process when no input value is provided for the JOBCARD.

Problem conclusion

  • CICS VT is changed to provide a //jobcard statement if no
value is provided as input to VIDSETUP.
