    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After MSGDSNB319A or MSGDSNB325A is     *
    * issued for a group buffer pool (GBP) *
    * space shortage, the expected message *
    * MSGDSNB327I may be missing when the *
    * GBP free space becomes adequate. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When GBP is 90% full or 75% full with changed data,
    MSGDSNB319A or MSGDSNB325A is issued for space shortage.
    When the changed data falls below 90% or 75% but it is still
    above 60% of the GBP capacity, the space shortage message is
    automatically deleted. DB2 incorrectly loses the space shortage
    tracking information causing the problem of missing MSGDSNB327I
    once the changed data drops to 60% or less.

Problem conclusion

  • DB2 has been fixed to track the space shortage information
    correctly and issue MSGDSNB327I when there is plenty of space
    in the GBP.
