PM79854: SIMPLE BOXPLOT AND 1-D BOXPLOT ARE NOT CREATED WITH THE COLOR SELECTED ON EDIT - OPTIONS CHARTS TAB

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You work with IBM SPSS Statistics 21.0.0.0 or 20.0.0.2. On Edit
  - Options dialog you click on Charts tab and select a new
  default color for simple charts by using this steps:
  - On Style Cycles you click on Colors button
  - On Styles to Edit the default color for simple charts is beige
  
  - You change this color for simple charts to any other, e.g. red
  from available color palette
  - Click Continue and OK
  
  Then you create a simple or 1-D boxplot with Graphs - Chart
  builder dialog. On the chart preview you see the new color e.g.
  red instead of beige. However, when you click OK on the created
  chart in the viewer you see that the boxplot is still created
  with the old default beige color and not with the new color.
  
  This was reported to IBM SPSS Development. It does only happen
  for Simple Boxplot and 1-D Boxplot.
  All other simple charts e.g. Simple Bar chart or Simple Area
  chart are displayed with the new red color.
