    * RECOMMENDATION: Only apply this fix if Intelligent *

    * Application Server Information Center for *

Intelligent Management which is part of Websphere Application
Server V8.5.0.0 and later, requires the default PMI counters
to be enabled. It is not possible to disable PMI or the
default PMI counters when using Intelligent Management
capabilities. If no IntelligentManagement capabilities will
ever be used then the property described in this fix can be
used to disable Intelligent Management. In turn it will allow
disabling the PMI Monitoring Infrastructure or default PMI
counters. Using this cell level property, the PMI setting as
seen on the console panels will still show that PMI is enabled.

Problem conclusion

  • To disable Intelligent Managment after applying this Fix, the
cell custom Property LargeTopologyOptimization must be
configured with value false, and the cell restarted.

To configure the cell custom property via the administrative
console go to System Administration, Cell, Configuration,
Additional Properties, Custom Properties, and create a new
entry with Name LargeTopologyOptimization, and Value false.
