PM79749: Simulator in Rational Statemate does not release memory

Rational Statemate Fix Pack 7 (4.6.1.7) for 4.6.1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• when viewing memory usage in Windows Task Manager, you see that
  Rational Statemate is consuming a lot of memory
  
  CAUSE:
  When running simulation in GUI mode and restarting or rebuilding
  simulation then it does not free the allocated memory of the
  previous session.
  
  STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
  - Closing and restarting simulation without closing the profile
  does not release memory.
  OR
  - In big models and long simulation runs you quickly reach an
  out of memory.
  
  WORKAROUND
  To work around the problem you must close the Simulation module
  completely and re-launch it.
