Error description
IBM Rational ClearQuest assists in deploying the IBM WebSphere Application Server 'cqwebprofile' and maintaining it during installation, upgrade and rollback through IBM Installation Manager. Currently the default settings for a WAS profile (around 256mb) are used. It has been determined that a higher setting of 1024 or 1536 megabytes is optimal for performance and to minimize disk swapping for the CQ Web feature. By default, when a new WebSphere Application Server profile is created, the JVM value is set to 256 MB. This value is too low for ClearQuest Web server V8.0 and V8.0.0.x and must be increased to 1 GB.
Problem conclusion
A fix is available in ClearQuest 8.0.0.7. Install code has been changed so that the JVM heap size value for the WebSphere Application Server profile is set to 1024MB
