  • Disabling compression for catalog server communication in a
    large scale topology can prevent the LockTimeoutExceptions and
    allow complete server start up of the catalog service domain.

    In a large topology enivronment running WebSphere eXtreme
    Scale inside of WebSphere Application server, the catalog
    service domain might not start all of the container servers
    successfully. LockTimeoutException exceptions can occur in the
    first failure data capture (FFDC) log files.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The APAR fixes the LockTimeoutException exception on the
    catalog
    server
    so that the catalog service domain can start successfully.
