Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: SQL users with host variables declared as * * WCHAR(N) VARYING where n > 2000 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: the use of such variables in SQL * * statements would cause the SQL * * preprocessor tp reject them as illegal * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
The SQL preprocessor had been defining these to the SQL backend as LONGVAR, but SQL has dropped support for that type and they should be defined simply as VARYING. The SQL preprocessor has been changed to do this.
Temporary fix
