Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere eXtreme Scale Liberty profile. * * Liberty applications using WXS. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Running an xscmd command against a * * Liberty server using WXS 8.6 with * * eXtremeIO enabled, results in the * * command failing with the following * * message: * * "Grid temporarily in an * * inconsistent state". The command * * works fine when using the ORB * * transport. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The problem occurs when both the Liberty JNDI feature is enabled and the JMX service URL includes a JNDI. This causes a conflict in the JNDI implementations of Liberty.
Problem conclusion
The problem is resolved by ensuring that the Liberty JNDI feature is respected and no embedded JNDI is added to the URL address when running in Liberty.
