PM79132: SYNDICATION DOES NOT RECOVER AFTER A RESTART WITH WCM 8.0 CF2


 

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Syndicator is in active state and remains in active state while
    the subscriber returns to idle.  Customer's will observe
    syndication never starts.
    
    This is due to a failure to clean up the stale syndication event
    when there is a server shutdown, network issue, etc.
    

Local fix

  • delete and recreate the pair to get syndication running again.
    avoid stopServer while syndication is active.
    

Problem summary

  • Check sessions and keep alive code was removed.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Add checksessions and keepalive to maintain syndication
    processes.
