APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • You use the "File -> Open ->Data" or "File -> Read Text Data"
    menus with the "Files of Type" field set to "All types".  The
    file fails to be read with the error:
    
    The Unicode encoding of this file is not supported by the Text
    wizard. You can use the DATA LIST command to read UTF-16 text
    data files."
    

Local fix

  • Set "Files of Type" field to "Text" and the file will be read.
    
    This issue will be resolved in a future release.
