Error description
This defect affects IBM Rational ClearCase MultiSite sync import operations which may, on occasion, result in the following errors during import of a synchronization packet: 2012-09-05T10:25:36+03:00 db_server(9048): Error: db_VISTA error 3 2012-08-31T08:57:08+03:00 db_server(30512): Error: db_VISTA error 3 (errno == 'Inappropriate ioctl for device') 2012-08-17T16:06:25+02:00 db_server(25948): Error: DBMS error in '/vobs/atria/lib/db/db__oplog.c' line 122 This has been observed when the importing replica attempts to process the same oplog twice. The second operation fails with db_VISTA 3 error indicating it is a duplicate oplog. The problem has only been seen on protect oplogs and does not appear to cause any problems with synchronization. Steps to reproduce: The exact conditions to reproduce this issue are unknown. Workaround: There is no known workaround. However, the issue does not present a risk to VOB database integrity and does not prevent synchronization so no workaround is necessary.
