Error description

as shown below. The actual number of segments are 107191.

In module DFSPRSUR (DFSPRSRF :FROM AREA REPORT PROCESSING),
RFSNUM17 field is prepared by CVD/MVC/ED at #03380000-03400000
after label RFREP200. Due to a short EDIT pattern of RFMASK1,
only 5 or 4 digits are picked up.

    * RECOMMENDATION: INSTALL CORRECTIVE SERVICE FOR APAR/PTF *
    ****************************************************************
The number of segments was truncated because inadequate numbers
of digits were allocated during the ED (edit) instruction.
Only 5 digits were allocated for the field RFSNUM17 in module
DFSPRSRF, which holds the number of segments in zoned format.
In the event the number of segments has 6 digits, the leading
digit is truncated. Furthermore, any 0's in the immediate
subsequent digits will not be displayed.

The field RFSNUM17 should be changed to hold larger than 99999
    segments.

Problem conclusion

  • GEN:
    KEYWORDS:

    *** END IMS KEYWORDS ***
Module DFSPRSRF has been changed to correct the problem.
Field RFSNUM17 that holds the number of segments has been
changed to support up to x7FFFFFFF segments.
