APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When stored procedures are called while using the Classic
CLI/ODBC driver, the return values of output or input/output
parameters may get truncated. This will particularly be an
issue when using InfoSphere DataStage z/OS File Stage because it
uses the Classic system stored procedure and the Classic
    CLI/ODBC driver underneath.
    .
Additionally when binding host variables and passing zero length
strings, the Classic CLI/ODBC currently returns a 'feature not
    implemented' error.

Problem conclusion

  • Code has been updated to address the truncation issue.
A change has also been introduced to allow zero-length strings
to be passed when binding host variables.
To obtain the complete fix, in addition to the PTF, please
download the most current Classic ODBC/CLI driver.
