    The issue does not occur with the default logging.  However, if
    ObjectGridMonitor=all trace is enabled, long wait times occur
    between validate-domain and router-ready messages, which can
    take up to 8 or 9 seconds.  These calls are testing
    the connection to the catalog server, which many of these calls
    are occurring. This activity slows down the stand-alone monitor
    console.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The stand-alone monitor console was fixed to drastically speed
    up how it checks the catalog server connection to improve the
    statistics retrieval time.
