PM78713: [wi 244015] Status set to reopen when CSV importing a resolved/d up work item that has a valid link of type 'related artifact'

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Import from a csv file for 'closed as duplicate' workitems is
    not importing properly with expected (close) state. When a work
    item is imported from a csv file with a status of 'Closed' and
    resolution of 'Duplicate', the new work item is given a
    different status.  This only happens when importing a value for
    'Related Artifacts'. Without the 'Related Artifacts' in the csv
    file, the workitems are imported correctly into RTC.
    
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Create a project from Scrum template
    2. Create a defect
    3. Set the status to 'Resolved' and resolution to 'Duplicate'
    4. Add 'Make duplicate of' link and a valid 'Related Artifacts'
    link to the defect
    5. Create a query to return the defect created in step#2.
    6. Export the defect from the query to csv. The export should
    include the following columns:
     - Type Id
     - Status
     - Summary
     - Resolution
     - Related Artifacts
     - Duplicate Of
    7. Import the csv back into the project. Select to create new
    work item from the import
    8. Confirm that the new work item has a status of 'Reopened'
    instead of 'Resolved'. This 'Reopened' status seems to be picked
    up from the workflow definition. (first action when string sort
    on action IDs)
