Error description
Through testing various options within CAFE for report refreshing, the majority of methods to refresh data (e.g. "Refresh Data" and "Refresh All Data") return data in a short time (2 minutes, based on test case provided) whereas "Refresh Data and Formatting" takes a very large amount of time (~25 minutes with the same test case).??According to the client, this has not always been the case.

Importing a report takes longer because both data and format hav e to be rendered. Rendering the format takes much longer than re ndering the data and this is a limitation with Excel. This is wh y there are two ways to refresh the report. Refresh data is the recommended way to refresh because it is much faster than refres h with format. Refresh with format is necessary only when the fo rmat of the report is changed.
