APAR status

Error description

  • When performing an IBM Rational ClearCase upgrade from 7.1.2.2
    to 7.1.2.7 or later the ClearCase registry is not preserved.
    
    
    Workaround:
    Backup the ClearCase registry before the upgrade procedure and
    restore it after the upgrade has completed.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • The clearcase/rgy folders were not being correctly restored,
    missing the ACL information on the installation directory.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Corrected on upgrades starting 7.1.2.7, the ClearCase Registry
    will be preserved and restored correctly, preventing this issue.
