Error description

  • The following exception is displayed in the FFDC log:

    Stack Dump = com.ibm.websphere.objectgrid.ObjectGridException:

    A failure happened when ObjectGrid.getSession() was called: the
    ObjectGrid- level security is enabled but there is no
    SubjectSource plug-in set on the ObjectGrid instance. This
    error could happen in one of the following scenarios: 1) While
    accessing a ObjectGrid instance in a distributed way, the
    client did not provide any credential, or the server did not
    authenticate the client credential. Make sure the
    client provides a credential. Also check the client and server
    properties to make sure securityEnabled is set to true, and
    credentialAuthentication is set to Required or Supported. 2)
    While accessing an ObjectGrid instance locally, the
    SubjectSource plug-in is not configured.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Entries of object properties are *
    * removed and are no longer accessible *
    *                      during run time.                        *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    The properties in the client security property file were being
    removed rather than being read when accessed. This leads to no
    results being returned when used multiple times.

Problem conclusion

  • The properties are now read rather than removed when accessed.
