Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server users * * of the createEJBStubs command * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The -cp option does not process * * MANIFEST.MF Class-Path entries * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A common workaround for command-line length limitations in classpath arguments to commands on Microsoft Windows operating systems is to create an empty archive with a META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file that contains a Class-Path with all the necessary classpaths. The createEJBStubs.bat command has a -cp option, but the option does not process Class-Path entries in META-INF/MANIFEST.MF files, so the workaround for command-line length limitations on Microsoft Windows operating systems does not work.
Problem conclusion
The -cp option has been updated to process Class-Path entries in META-INF/MANIFEST.MF files. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 7.0.0.29, 8.0.0.7, and the fix pack following 8.5.0.2.
