Error description
The EXEC CPSM command EXEC CPSM GETDEF OBJECT('ATTR') RESOURCE('CICSRGN') ATTRIBUTE('EYU_CICSNAME') COUNT(W-RECCNT) RESULT(W-RESULT) THREAD(W-THREAD) RESPONSE(W-RESPONSE) REASON(W-REASON) END-EXEC. returns RESPONSE=1029 (FAILED) and REASON=1359 (EXCEPTION). This response is also returned when specifying any of the other two attibutes beginning EYU_ (EYU_CICSREL and EYU_RESERVED) However when ATTRIBUTE('*') is specified then the result set includes all of the EYU_ attributes. The command does not fail for other attribute types which do not begin with EYU_

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICSPlex SM V4R2M0 Users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: - When the CPSM API GETDEF command is * * issued for OBJECT ATTR or METADESC, * * against a RESOURCE which supports * * the API EYU prefix fields * * (EYU_CICSNAME, EYU_CICSREL and * * EYU_RESERVED), if one of these EYU_* * * fields is specified as the * * ATTRIBUTE, the request will fail * * with RESPONSE=1029 (FAILED) and * * REASON=1359 (EXCEPTION). If all * * attributes are requested, * * ATTRIBUTE(*), then the command * * completes successfully and the EYU_* * * fields are included in the results. * * * * - The ATTR_TABLEVER attribute may be * * incorrect for the EYU prefix fields. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: After applying the PTF that resolves this * * APAR, all CMASes must be restarted. Note * * that the restarts do not need to occur at * * the same time. * **************************************************************** - Method EYU0MOFL (MOFL), which returns the ATTR or METADESC tables to method EYU0XDP2 (XDP2) when a CPSM API GETDEF command is issued for OBJECT ATTR or METADESC, does not build the ATTR or METADESC record correctly if specifically asked for the EYU_CICSNAME, EYU_CICSREL or EYU_RESERVED attributes. This results in the command returning a failure to the calling program. - When setting the ATTR_TABLEVER attribute, MOFL uses a different value for the EYU prefix fields than it does for the other fields for a table. As a result, the value specified for EYU_CICSNAME, EYU_CICSREL and EYU_RESERVED may be incorrect.
Problem conclusion
- MOFL has been updated to correctly build the ATTR or METADESC table when specifically asked for EYU_CICSNAME, EYU_CICSREL or EYU_RESERVED. - MOFL has been updated to correctly set the ATTR_TABLEVER attribute for EYU_CICSNAME, EYU_CICSREL and EYU_RESERVED.
