Error description

  • Command "pli -L. -ltest -o test" results in "ld: 0706-005" error

Local fix

  • Work around:
    pli -L. -ltest -o test test.pli

    or

    pli -L. libtest.a -o test

Problem summary

  • When the pli command is specified with the -l linker option,
a linker error results because part of the option string built
to pass to the linker is incorrect. Specifically, the -bloadmap:
option specified a file name with an invalid format.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem occurs when the -l option is specified and there is
no source file name explicitly specified with the pli command
string. The parsing of the file name for hte -bloadmap option
was incorrect. The problem has been corrected.
