ITCAM 7.2 DC running on Linux We discovered after some maintenance this past weekend that when a JVM configured for the Data Collector (v7.2) is restarted, a directory is added to the Deployment Manager wstemp directory for the JVM and it contains a subset of information for every application (ear) installed in that Dmgr cell. This includes applications installed in JVMs that are not configured in the Data Collector. -- We should be able to fix the code to prevent the persistence of /wstemp subdirectories of the following format: <node-name>.<profile-name>.<server-name>.<process-id> (that is the subdirectory that contains all the apps data). By 'preventing persistence', i mean that such a dir may appear for a short period of time but it will be removed almost immediately.
Every time a WebSphere server configured with ITCAM is restarted, a new directory is added to WebSphere's /wstemp dir. The problem is caused by a flaw that prevented the discarding of unneeded /wstemp files.
The code was corrected to discard the /wstemp files as soon as they are not needed. The fix for this APAR is contained in 18.104.22.168 maintenance
