PM77513: ABENDS0C4 AT DSNGEFSP OFFSET0B78 AFTER CANCELING A THREAD DURING PACKAGE ALLOCATION AND DB2 CRASHED RC00F30420

Error description

• Dump Title: DB4P ABND 0C4 PIC3B U=PDB2 M=N C=101.EDM
  -GESFR M DSNTFRCV LOC DSNGEDM DSNGEFSP +0B78
  ABEND0C4 at DSNGEFSP+0B78 in thread deallocation happened after
  canceling the thread while it was reading a RDS section from
  SPT01.
  The ABEND0C4 in thread deallocation caused DB2 crash by 00F30420
  .
  The cancel happened after a EDM block was obtained for a PT RDS
  secion and before copying the content from the package.
  In the thread deallocation process, the residual data in the
  block was used to see the block type and it was treated as a
  different type of block. It caused the ABEND0C4.

  A DB2 internal data structure is not initiated.
  When the cancel happens after DSNGEPLC obtained a block for
  a package and before loading the RDS section in it,
  there could be residual PTHEADER information in the block
  which causes an ABEND in the ABEND recovery routine.
  The ABEND in ABEND recovery routine causes DB2 crash.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been changed to initiate the internal data structure
  to avoid the abend.
