Error description

  • If attempting to use the -bootstrapURL parameter whilst running
WpsUpdate.py, the attempt will fail with the following message:

Invalid command line argument: <value of bootstrapURL parameter>

Problem summary

* USERS AFFECTED:  All users of Business Process Manager for   *
*     z/OS wishing to use WpsUpdate.py with the                *
*                  -bootstrapURL flag to set their bootstrap   *
*                  URLs.                                       *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:  WpsUpdate.py incorrectly dismisses     *
*                       -bootstrapURL as an invalid parameter. *

If attempting to use the -bootstrapURL parameter whilst running
WpsUpdate.py, the attempt will fail with the following message:

Invalid command line argument: <value of bootstrapURL parameter>

Problem conclusion

  • Code changed to accept -bootstrapURL as valid by replacing
-bootstrapUrl with -bootstrapURL in the list of accepted
parameters coded into WpsUpdate.py. Code fixed in interim fix
and in future releases/fixpacks.
