    *                      occur with other transactions that      *
    *                      were waiting on the locks held by the   *
    *                      long transaction.                       *
    ****************************************************************

    ****************************************************************
    The replication mechanism used by the catalog servers had an
    algorithm that did not scale linearly with the size of the data
    being replicated. This results in exponentially longer commit
    time in the catalog server as the size of the transactions
    increase. The transaction time increases for some transactions
    as the size of the data grid increases by the number of
    containers or number of partitions.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The algorithm was modified to scale linearly.
