Error description

  • When using IBM Rational ClearCase dynamic views, and using the
    MvfsViewAttachMup registry key to work around APAR PK67686, the
    Microsoft Windows RoboCopy command will fail with the following
    error when copying into locally-hosted dynamic views:
    
    2012/11/09 13:57:52 ERROR 5 (0x00000005) Time-Stamping
    Destination File \\server1\share\user1\mydir\thisfile
    Access is denied.
    
    The mvfs log will show a similar error referring to the
    view-private container in the target view:
    2012-11-09T10:00:27-05:00 mvfs(0): Error: {7 pid/tid 1954/1958}
    cleartext pname= \Device\Mup\{rest of path}
    2012-11-09T10:00:27-05:00 mvfs(0): Error: {6 pid/tid 1954/1958}
    cleartext setattr failed view=viewtest vob=\testvob1
    dbid=0x8000043
    e - Permission denied
