Error description

  • Each error message from WebSphere BI for FN longer than 69
characters cannot be displayed completely because there is only
one line available to show the message. As these error messages
are truncated, important information required for error
diagnosis is not visible for some messages.

Error messages from WebSphere BI for FN longer than 69
characters are truncated when displayed.
Thus some information is not visible and cannot be used
for error diagnosis.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The following SHOW commands show the complete error message.
o SHOW ERR
o SHOW EMSG
o SHOW ERRMSG
o SHOW ERRORMSG

Alternatively, the following HELP commands also show the
complete error message.
o HELP ERR
o HELP EMSG
o HELP ERRMSG
o HELP ERRORMSG

The error message can have a length of up to 255 characters.
