Error description

  • AbendS0C4 DBFMSCV1 routine BIGDFLD trying to build DFLD on
    64-bit DEDB buffering FPBP64=Y system.
    DEDB PCB has VIEW=MSDB, BIGDFLD needs to be in 64-bit mode
    to acess segment pointed to by MLTECLOC64, but is in 31-bit
    mode.

    Routine UPGRADEX in DBFMRCQ1 is called to upgrade a lock from
    SHR to EXCL, which is a very specific case where the lock was
    obtained SHR due to Area being VSO, and VIEW=MSDB, and
    PROCOPT = G or GR, and then an update call is made ( possibly
    with different PCB ). DBFMBED0 expects R8=DMAC pointer, and in
    31-bit DBFMRQC0 it is, because R8 was used as PLX PTRDMAC and
    never reused although compiler could have. In 64-bit DBFMRQC1
    the compiler does reuse R8 so the problem occurs.
    DBFMSCV1 routine BIGDFLD needs to be in 64-bit mode to
    access the segment pointed to by MLTECLOC64.
