APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After CDC for z/OS has been running for a number of weeks or
    months, it may begin issuing CHC5127E messages and attempts to
    connect to it from Management Console may begin to fail.
    

Local fix

  • Recycle the CDC for z/OS address space.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CHC5127E messages are issued when users *
    *                      attempt to connect to CDC for z/OS via  *
    *                      Management Console.                     *

    ****************************************************************
    Entries are sometimes left active in the Monitor Agent sign-on
    table when somebody signs off.  Eventually all entries in the
    sign-on table are clogged with inactive users and no active
    users can sign on.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The Monitor Agent sign-on tables are now maintained correctly.
    There still remains a design limit of 1,000 concurrent sign-ons
    to the Monitor Agent.
