Error description

  • In the SYSCE1 or SYSUE1, we use $SUB$ to submit a JCL.
    Frequently the JCL cards have a numeration in cols 73-80.
       Unfortunaly the replacement of variables in the JCL don't
    bypass the
    colonnes 73-80.
    Example :
    JCL :    IDF=&FILENAM                  00000001
        If &FILENAM = TOTO the substitution is :
                 IDF=TOTO                       00000001
       It ought to be :
                 IDF=TOTO                           00000001
    .

Local fix

  • STRRTC - 352930
    CN/CN
    Circumvention: NUMBER OFF + UNNUM on JCL members

Problem summary

  • Bad string replacement in generated JCL by $SUB$ command in
    L1GFIUE1 and L1GFICE1.

Problem conclusion

  • Numbers on cols 73-80 in submitted JCL are now cleared before
    string replacement
