Error description
When a view-private symbolic link (Unix command: ln -s) exists in an IBM Rational ClearCase view and a user has the directory checked out and run a cleartool mkdir command (ct ln -s) using the same destination name, ClearCase creates the soft symbolic link, but it is eclipsed by the view-private file. It would be expected that an error be thrown. To reproduce the problem: 1) create view private file named 'asdf' 2) create element named 'asdf.txt' 3) checkout dir 4) create link -? ct ln -s asdf.txt asdf 5) checkin dir 6) ct ls Z:\myvob\test_link?ct ls asdf asdf --? asdf.txt [eclipsed] asdf.txt@@\main\1 Rule: \main\LATEST Workaround: None at this time.
