PM75822: ABEND0C4 DFSNC110 AFTER LABEL CL1LEAVE BECAUSE REG6 (NCLZWORK) POINTS TO STORAGE THAT IS N/A

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABEND0C4 occurs at x'9A0' into DFSNC110 under label CL1LEAVE
  because REG6 (NCLZWORK) points to storage that is not available.
  It should point to NCLZERCD.

  The ABEND0C4 occurs because the NCLZWORK pointed to by REG6
  has been freed. The systrace shows FREEMAIN from DFSMODU0
  for X'00008068'.
  The problem occurs in DFSNCS40 who frees the NCLZWORK area
  under labels PROCFR20 and PROCFR30 before returning to
  DFSNC110. DFSNC110 then tries to use that area. Since this
  is HIOP, the storage could have been available (then no
  abend).

  An ABENDS0C4 occurs in DFSNC110 after label CL1LEAVE
  trying to retrieve the reason code from NCLZWORK.
  
  Just before label CL1LEAVE, DFSNC110 calls DFSNCS40 to
  release NCLZWORK. DFSNC110 should not be accessing
  NCLZWORK after the storage has been released.
  

Problem conclusion

  calling DFSNCS40 to release NCLZWORK.  On return, the reason
  code will be stored in R15 before returning to the caller.
