Error description

• Scan step DMHQUEUE hangs in fixpak 6.0.0.9. Upon inspecting the
  scan job, the output shows the long running step is stuck on
  processing queue type "07".

Local fix

Problem summary

• The former DB2-SQL reference resolution design assumed the DB2
  catalog scans would not be done very frequently.  To that end,
  updates were made in Fix Pack 9 to introduce a new queue type
  (Postprocess RDB load) that started with clearing the DB2
  foreign keys and recalculating  them.  As a result, a row
  corresponding to this new queue type was inserted for every DB2
  catalog load that was run.  For cases where scanning and loading
  of DB2 catalog data is performed more frequently, sometimes
  daily, and especially under conditions of very large volumes of
  meta data, the postprocessing might never complete.  This forced
  manual removal of queue rows corresponding to this particular
  type in order for postprocessing to be able to continue for Run
  unit building, for example.
  

Problem conclusion

• The postprocessing approach of zeroing out and recalculating all
  foreign keys emanating from Program SQL references to DB2
  catalog assets has been modified to influence only those assets
  that are impacted when new or changed DB2 catalog assets are
  detected. This, along with introduction of a unique placeholder
  DB2 system per Site, improves postprocessing efficiency and
  foreign key relationship building results.
