Abstract: Attempts to publish to a WebSphere Application Server v8.0 might failed when a resource was changed. Problem: Reproducing the problem 1. Create a web project and associated EAR. 2. Create a servlet in the web project. 3. With standard WebSphere Application Server settings publish to the server. You will see the following errors such as the following in the console: 'The application did not update: For details about the failure, refer to the Console view to see the log output of the server. .
