4.Both the ISPF dialog and batch EXTRACT processes have been
enhanced to support all types of log records (at the same time).
5.Improved formatting of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS
    SMF type 120.9 records.
6.Correct IMS log record type x'50' for database update.
7.Type x'67FA' IMS trace records for ESAF are now formatted
in the same way as all other trace types.

Comments

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
    1.Support for IMS version 13.
To process IMS V13 logs in the ISPF dialog, specify VRM=131.
To process IMS V13 logs in batch, specify EXEC PARM=V131.
2.Support for CICS Transaction Server version 5.1.
V5.1 CMF performance class records can now be processed in
both the ISPF dialog and CICS-DBCTL batch reporting.
3.Improved EXTRACT command in the ISPF dialog.
More options are available to control which records are to be
    written to the extract file,
including the new C line action to select required records only.
4.Both the ISPF dialog and batch EXTRACT processes have been
enhanced to support all types of log records (at the same time).
Now you can merge log files of any type and extract the records
to a single data set in the knowledge that workbench will
    interpret them correctly.
To facilitate this, a new type x'CAFE' control record
is written to the extract file to identify each record type.
The x'CAFE' records are ignored when you come to process the
extract file in workbench, although you may see them when
processing the extract outside of the workbench.
5.Improved formatting of WebSphere Application Server for z/OS
    SMF type 120.9 records.
These records represent every WAS request coming into z/OS.
Records are displayed in human-readable format for easy
    analysis.
Response time breakdown and CPU time statistics are reported.
6.IMS log record type x'50' for database update can be broken
down into its three subtypes (50, 51 and 52) when filtering.
7.Type x'67FA' IMS trace records for ESAF are now formatted
in the same way as all other trace types.
Note that ESAF trace entries are 64 bytes long, compared to the
using 32 byte entries of most trace types.
ESAF trace entries are identified by the IMS trace type "ITR"
    when filtering.
8.Minor corrections in sessions and processing of log files.
