Problem summary

• Remote Action URL results in IndexOutOfBoundsException  when
  setting a link with wcmfield.elementName.id=
  
  WCM code does not handle an empty value for the
  wcmfield.elementName.id= of a link and rather assumes this will
  not be empty.
  

Problem conclusion

• Code was updated to handle the case by clearing the link when
  wcmfield.elementName.id= is passed without an id.
