Error description
In TWS for z/OS V8.6. Data entered into the "USER DATA" field on panel EQQMMGEP are not preserved The problem can be recreated as follow: 1) From the TWSz primary option panel EQQOPCAP, please enter option 5.4. There you will be led to the panel: EQQMEP1L .......HANDLING OPERATIONS ENDED IN ERROR 2) In that panel EQQMEP1L, choose any CPU or zCentric operation ended in error, and go into the application with the line command: MOD 3) in panel EQQMMODP -------- MODIFYING AN OPERATION IN THE CURRENT PLAN, please select option: 6 GENERAL - General information and hit enter. Now you will be led to the panel: EQQMMGEP ------ MODIFYING GENERAL INFORMATION FOR AN OPERATION 4) In EQQMMGEP panel, please fill the USER DATA FIELD with any data as example: USER DATA ===> USER DATA TEST 5) Now leave the panels back with PF3. 6) Please continute leaving the panels back until you reach the TWSz primary panel EQQOPCAP. 7) If you now go back to the panel EQQMMGEP, you will find the USER DATA empty as follow: USER DATA ===> ________________ and the entered data get lost. This APAR has been opened to address this error.

Problem conclusion
The first problem (value not saved) was caused by a wrong variable specified in panel EQQMMGEP for that field.
