Error description
Using the Rational Asset Analyzer Eclipse plug-in for Rational Developer for System z, DB2 tables are viewable for some programs, but not for others, when selecting Program Tree view. The same tables are viewable using the web interface, and it is expected they would also be viewable within RDz for all the same programs.
Local fix
Use RAA web gui interface to view table information for the affected programs.
Problem summary
a SELECT COUNT(*) FROM query with several JOINs was performing slowly.
Problem conclusion
The slow query was replaced by querying DMH_CMPNT_TYPE.INSTANCES instead.
